It's being reported that Michael C. Hall's new girlfriend Vanessa Abrue is 25. We don't know exactly how old she is so we went ahead and assumed she was actually 25.9. Even with a little fudging, the Dexter star still ends up violating the half-your-age-plus-seven rule.

Donald and Melania Trump

The Donald clearly violated the "half your age plus seven" rule when he married Melania Knauss-Trump in early 2005. Now, however, he just barely clears the line. Would their age difference would be targetted should he decide to go into politics?

This is the second cougar we've looked at here at OneHalfPlusSeven.com. Unlike Demi however, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were not in violation of the "half your age plus seven" rule when they were married in 2008.

David Hasselhoff and Hayley Roberts

According to UK newspaper Daily Express, David Hasselhoff's daughters at one point said he had to date someone at least 40. Meanwhile, his current girlfriend Hayley Roberts is 31. 

According the the "half your age plus seven" rule, the daughters are conservative while Hasselhoff is a bit more extreme.

Ryan Phillippe and Amanda Seyfried crossed into the green side of the "half your age plus seven" rule several weeks ago. 

Is it merely an amazing coincidence that they have recently become publicly affectionate?

Rumor has it that Jay Z and Beyonce Knowles began dating around the time they recorded '03 Bonnie & Clyde, so we used the track's release date to be safe. As you can see from the chart, this power couple was in violation of the "half your age plus seven" rule for most of their relationship. In fact, they were in the red as late as their marriage in 2008.

This is as good a post as any to mention that OneHalfPlusSeven.com does not round age. We calculate (to the day) when one person is exactly half the other's age plus 7.0 years.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie

Brad Pitt was more than a decade older than Angelina Jolie when they began dating. There was little mention of the age difference at the time. According the the half-your-age-plus-seven rule, it would have been inappropriate had Angelina been a little more than two years younger than she was.
